Living in the Nether can be a truly amazing experience. However, you'll need to be very careful in order to survive. Here are some steps on how to make an amazing living space in the Nether.

Building a Home

Gather your materials. Be sure to build with materials that are not flammable, because there is a lot of fire in the Nether. Some good materials to use are cobblestone, anything made of stone, or blocks made of iron or gold.

Find a protected place to build your portal. To get to the Nether and back, you'll need a portal. Make sure to build this in your house, to always be protected from the mobs. Also, this will help make sure that no mobs from the Nether enter your portal and appear in the overworld.

Store water in cauldrons. You cannot place water in the Nether unless you use ice blocks, so you can store it in a cauldron. To keep safe when burning, hop into a cauldron and you'll be cool. You can also use these to store water to craft things with or brew.

Clear out everything that you have at your old house. You will need all of your materials that you have, because you can't find any of them in the Nether. Because of this, you'll want to bring lots of dirt, water, sand, plants, and lots of saplings to grow trees.

Lead cows, pigs, and sheep through the Nether portal. You cannot lead dogs through, but these animals can be lead to your new nether farm. You can also bring villagers through the portal. Even though it's not likely you are going to use them much, they are very handy when you are low on a special material.
- Always bring at least 3 of the same kind of mob so you can breed them.

Plant your crops. It might take longer for them to grow in the Nether, but they eventually will.

Avoid sleeping in a bed in the Nether. It might seem fine at first, but when you click the bed, it will instantly explode. You wouldn't even be able to sleep when you are in the Nether, as it is never nighttime.

Create a strong doorway. If you are going to be creating a doorway to the outside of the Nether, then a good door to create is a pressure plate piston door. This way, you won't have to deal with clicking on anything.

Dig into a mountain. This is the easiest way to create a home. Simply replace the walls with something a little bit more sturdy, and you are good to go.

Add windows into your home. Some might think that Nether windows are not the best idea, but they do help you spot mobs, and they are not easily broken by ghasts. When they are broken, simply move the window to another place.

Add grass for the animals. If you bring animals down, you might want to invest in getting a Silk Touch tool and mining some grass. This will help the animals grow and eat healthy when they are in the Nether.

Bring plenty of gear with you. Blocks (preferably cobblestone), weapons (especially a bow and arrow) and food are essential. Obsidian and flint and steel can be used to reconstruct your nether portal in case it gets destroyed.

Bring a horse with you through the Nether portal. There are lots of horse armor pieces to be found in the chests of the Nether fortress, so you might as well take advantage of it. Horses will also help you travel faster on long trips on bridges. However, be sure not to forget to bring apples with you for food for the horse.

You can’t . To get wither skulls kill wither skeletons, to get blaze rods kill blazes. (Blazes only spawn in certain areas.)

Warnings

Avoid attacking the zombified piglins, unless you are sure you have adequate armor as well as a diamond sword. Zombified piglins will not bother you until you attack them. Once you attack them, not only will they attack you, but they will also summon other zombified piglins that are within their range.
