A Cotton Candy Martini is a fun twist on a classic cranberry or pineapple drink. If you're feeling bored with your usual order and want something sweeter, try it with a tuft of cotton candy. If you are preparing the drink for other people, be sure to do it in front of them; the disappearing cotton candy is part of the show!
Ingredients
- 2 ounces (60 milliliters) cotton candy vodka
- 1 ounce (30 milliliters) pineapple juice
- Splash of grenadine
- Crushed ice
- Handful of cotton candy
- ½ ounce (15 milliliters) Pinnacle Cotton Candy vodka
- ½ ounce (15 milliliters) X-Rated Fusion liquor
- 1 ounce (30 milliliters) cranberry juice
- Crushed ice
- Handful of cotton candy
Steps
Making a Pineapple Cotton Candy Martini
-
1Consider filling a martini glass with a handful of cotton candy. The pineapple juice will already give this cocktail a sweet taste, but if you'd like something even sweeter, add a handful of cotton candy into the glass. Try to fill the glass up to the brim with cotton candy. Don't worry, the cotton candy will dissolve the instant you add the liquid.
-
2Fill a cocktail shaker ¾ of the way with ice. This will help chill the martini.Advertisement
-
3Add in the vodka, juice, and grenadine. If you don't like pineapple juice, you can try another type of juice, such as cranberry.
-
4Shake the ingredients for about 10 seconds. This will mix everything together as well as chill it.
-
5Pour the mixture through a cocktail strainer into the glass. If you added any cotton candy into the glass, you'll see it disappear the moment the mixture touches it.
-
6Garnish the drink with a pinch of cotton candy and serve. Try to balance the cotton candy on the rim of the glass, but don't let it touch the martini, or it will disappear. If you can't get it to balance, spear it onto a cocktail stick instead, and put the stick into the martini.
-
7Finished.
Making a Cranberry Cotton Candy Martini
-
1Fill a martini glass with a handful of cotton candy. Cranberry juice is usually tart, so this will help sweeten the cocktail. Don't worry if the cotton candy reaches the top of the glass. It will disappear once you add the liquids, and leave behind a sweet taste.
-
2Fill a cocktail shaker ¾ of the way with ice. This will help chill the ingredients.
-
3Add the vodka, liquor, and cranberry juice. If you aren't fond of cranberry juice, you can use another type of juice, such as grape or even orange.
-
4Close the shaker and shake it for 10 seconds. This will mix everything together, as well as chill it.
-
5Pour the mixture through a strainer over the cotton candy. The cotton candy will "magically" disappear.
-
6Garnish with a pinch of cotton candy and serve. If it won't stay still, spear it onto a cocktail stick, and place the stick into the martini.
-
7Finished.
