Smoothie bowls, or acai bowls, are delicious smoothie bases topped with berries, nuts, or seeds. While they’re amazing when they’re fresh, they can be hard to store without getting runny or melting. Fortunately, you can pack up your smoothie bowl if you have some left over, or you can make one the night before to grab on your way to school or work. Try not to store your smoothie bowl for more than 1 day to enjoy it while it’s fresh!

Freezing Smoothie Bowls

    Remove the toppings and put them in a separate container. If you can, scoop the toppings off the bowl and transfer them to an airtight container. You can put the container in the fridge, or you can leave it out at room temperature if it’s just nuts or seeds.[1]
    • If you mixed your toppings in with the smoothie, don’t worry about scooping them out.
    • Toppings left on top of the smoothie can get soggy when you store them.
