Arkavazi Rural District

Arkavazi Rural District (Persian: دهستان اركوازئ) is in the Central District of Chavar County, Ilam province, Iran. Its capital is the village of Murt.[3]

At the National Census of 2006, its population (as a part of the former Chavar District of Ilam County) was 4,640 in 935 households.[4] There were 4,384 inhabitants in 1,006 households at the following census of 2011.[5] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 3,702 in 915 households. The largest of its 51 villages was Murt, with 1,088 people.[2]

After the census, the district was separated from the county, elevated to the status of Chavar County, and divided into two districts and four rural districts.[3]
