Murt, Ilam
Murt (Persian: مورت, also Romanized as Mūrt; also known as Kāni Mūrt)[3] is a village in, and the capital of, Arkavazi Rural District of the Central District of Chavar County, Ilam province, Iran.[4] The village is populated by Kurds.[5]

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 1,082 in 204 households, when it was in the former Chavar District of Ilam County.[6] The following census in 2011 counted 1,200 people in 271 households.[7] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 1,088 people in 284 households; it was the largest village in its rural district.[2]
After the census, the district was separated from the county, elevated to the status of Chavar County, and divided into two districts and four rural districts.[4]
