Bampur-e Sharqi Rural District

Bampur-e Sharqi Rural District (Persian: دهستان بمپور شرقي)[3] is in the Central District of Bampur County, Sistan and Baluchestan province, Iran. Its capital is the village of Nukjub.[4]

At the National Census of 2006, its population (as a part of the former Bampur District of Iranshahr County) was 22,382 in 4,408 households.[5] There were 19,131 inhabitants in 4,519 households at the following census of 2011.[6] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 21,244 in 5,471 households. The largest of its 109 villages was Rig-e Kaput, with 3,491 people.[2]

On 13 August 2017, Bampur District was separated from Iranshahr County to establish Bampur County, which was further divided into two districts, four rural districts, and three cities.[4]
