Central District (Eshtehard County)

The Central District of Eshtehard County (Persian: بخش مرکزی شهرستان اشتهارد) is in Alborz province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Eshtehard.

At the 2006 census, the region's population (as Eshtehard District of Karaj County, Tehran province) was 23,601 in 6,716 households.[3] At the latest census in 2016, the population had increased to 35,250 in 10,911 households,[2] by which time the district had separated from the county and become a part of recently established Alborz province as Eshtehard County, with two districts and the city of Eshtehard as its capital.[4]
