Jaru, Alborz

Jaru (Persian: جارو, also Romanized as Jārū)[3] is a village in, and the capital of, Jaru Rural District of Palangabad District, Eshtehard County, Alborz province, Iran.

At the 2006 census, its population was 602 in 156 households, when it was in Eshtehard District of Karaj County, Tehran province.[4] At the most recent census in 2016, the population of the village had increased to 766 in 254 households, by which time the district had separated from the county and become a part of recently established Alborz province as Eshtehard County, with two districts. It was the largest village in its rural district.[2][5]
