Chaman Soltan

Chaman Soltan (Persian: چمن سلطان, also Romanized as Chaman Solţān, Chaman-i-Sultān, and Chaman Sultān; also known as Cham Solţān)[3] is a city in, and the capital of, Borborud-e Sharqi District of Aligudarz County, Lorestan province, Iran.[4]

At the 2006 census, its population was 2,483 in 571 households, when it was in Borborud-e Sharqi Rural District of the Central District.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 2,334 people in 628 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 2,091 people in 654 households, by which time the rural district had separated from the district in the establishment of Borborud-e Sharqi District. It was the largest village in its rural district.[2]

After the census, the village was elevated to the status of a city.[4]
