Chega, Iran
Chega (Persian: چگا, also Romanized as Chegā‘; also known as Chegāh)[3] is a village in, and the capital of, Hajji Bakhtiar Rural District of the Central District of Chavar County, Ilam province, Iran.[4] The village is populated by Kurds.[5]

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 144 in 31 households, when it was in Arkavazi Rural District of the former Chavar District of Ilam County.[6] The following census in 2011 counted 141 people in 36 households.[7] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 130 people in 36 households.[2]
After the census, the district was separated from the county, elevated to the status of Chavar County, and divided into two districts and four rural districts.[4]
