Loran, Iran

Loran (Persian: لران, also Romanized as Lorān)[3] is a village in, and the capital of, Qaleh Tall Rural District of Qaleh Tall District, Bagh-e Malek County, Khuzestan province, Iran.[4]

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 601 in 114 households, when it was in the Central District.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 531 people in 131 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 507 people in 124 households.[2]

In April 2023, the rural district and city of Qaleh Tall were separated from the district, elevated to the status of Qaleh Tall District and divided into two rural districts, with the city as its capital.[4]
