Mazhin Rural District (Persian: دهستان ماژين) is in Mazhin District of Darreh Shahr County, Ilam province, Iran.

At the National Census of 2006, its population was 3,166 in 619 households.[3] There were 2,827 inhabitants in 680 households at the following census of 2011.[4] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 1,250 in 348 households. The largest of its 24 villages was Meydan Khalaf, with 327 people.[2]
