Mohammadan, Bampur
Mohammadan (Persian: محمدان), formerly Mohammadabad (Persian: محمداباد, also Romanized as Moḩammadābād; also known as Mohammad Abad Bampoor),[3] is a city in the Central District of Bampur County, Sistan and Baluchestan province, Iran.[4]

At the 2006 census, its population was 7,249 in 1,371 households, when it was a village in the former Bampur District of Iranshahr County.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 8,193 people in 1,863 households,[6] by which time it had risen to the status of a city and renamed Mohammadan.[7] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 10,302 people in 2,550 households.[2]
On 13 August 2017, Bampur District was separated from Iranshahr County to establish Bampur County, which was further divided into two districts, four rural districts, and three cities.[4]
