กษัตริย์

From Sanskrit क्षत्रिय (kṣatriya, “kṣatriya: the ruling and military elite, being one of the four social classes in the society”). Compare Pali khattiya, from which Thai ขัตติยะ was. Cognate with Modern Khmer ក្សត្រិយ៍ (ksat).

     Section 4 The person who is the king of the nation is Phrabāt Somdet Phra Paramin Mahā Prajadhipok Phra Pok Klāo Čhāoyūhūa. Succession [to the throne] shall be governed by the Palace Law on Succession, 2467 BE, and with the approval of the House of People's Representatives.

     Section 112 Anyone who defames, insults, or expresses rancour or ill will towards the king, queen, heir to the throne, or regent, shall be liable to imprisonment from three years to fifteen years.
