1. Thai script form of yāya, which is inflection of ยา (yā, “who”):
   1. genitive and dative singular
   2. ablative and instrumental singular
   3. locative singular

ยาย • (yaai) (classifier คน)

1. maternal grandmother.

     Section 403...If parents or forebears grant their descendants maintenance, or vice versa, then in case of doubt it is to be assumed that there is no intention to demand reimbursement from the recipient.

2. (sometimes derogatory) aged woman.
