How to Become a Better Builder in Minecraft

Do you feel like you're not that good at building in Minecraft? There's a simple way to become better. Here is how to make prettier, better-quality buildings in Minecraft.

Building a House

Upgrade your materials. For building nicer houses, try to use planks instead of dirt, sand, or building in mountains.

Add some shape. Making your house one big box looks nowhere near as nice as having a house with a lot of shape. Start with one box, then add other boxes to it. Add curves and frame it with wood to add depth.

Try to use the same type of block for your house. You do want to make it look neat, right?

Be selective with your decor. When building the inside of your house, don't randomly place things. Try putting them next to each other in a reasonable order. For example, you can first put a Crafting Table, then a Chest, and then a Furnace. Don't place things in the middle of your house.

Try to make it look realistic. If you don't know what I mean, try looking at your bedroom or other part of your house you'd like to make it look like.

Add decorations such as Moss Stone, Flower Pots, etc. You can even try putting things like Quartz! You can also use patterns. When it comes to decorating, be creative!

Building a Farm

Organize your layout. Building a farm in Minecraft can be pretty easy sometimes, but it's always nice to make them organized! Make sure when you surround it with fences, they are the same type and have a space to walk through if you plan on putting animals.

Set up different areas. If you plan on adding animals, try making a separate area for each type of animal. For example, try putting Sheep in one area and Pigs in another. Try to make them next to each other but still separated by fences.

Make different sections for each type of seed. You don't want to think you're getting Wheat when you're actually getting Pumpkin!
