Did you accidentally enter the wrong birthdate when you were creating your Discord account? Unfortunately, that's something that you can't fix by yourself. However, you can very easily contact support to get it fixed! This wikiHow article guides you through the process of contacting support and changing your age and birthdate on Discord.
Things You Should Know
- For security reasons, you cannot change your age or birthdate yourself.
- Submit a request to change your age and birthdate using a web browser on your computer, phone, or tablet.
- If you don't have an ID, don't fret! Create a new Discord account with a different email address.
Steps
-
1Go to the submit a request page in a web browser. You can use any web browser on a computer, phone, or tablet.
- To complete this process, you will need an image of you with a government-issued ID (that also lists your birthdate) as well as a piece of paper with your Discord tag on it (it's similar to "username#1234"). It's important that all of this information is submitted in a single picture (the ID in one hand and the paper with the Discord name in your other hand). Use features like the timer or a selfie stick to take a picture without your hands.
-
2Enter your email address. This needs to be the email address that you use with your Discord account.Advertisement
-
3Select Appeals, age update, other questions. You'll see this next to the "How can we help" question. Changing this changes the form of the next question.
-
4Select Update age information. It's next to the "Appeals, age update, other questions" header.
-
5Add optional information (if you want to). This includes checking the box and looking at the Community Guidelines as well as entering your phone number, which you'll need to do if you signed up using your phone number.
-
6Enter your birthdate. This should reflect the birthdate listed on the form of ID you plan to submit.
-
7
-
8Enter a subject. You can enter something like "I need help with my age update request."
-
9Enter a description. Add something like "I entered the wrong date of birth originally and need to update it."
-
10Add your photo. Click Add File or drop your file in the box.
- Everything including your ID, your face, and your Discord name should be clear and easy to read.
-
11Click Submit. It may take Discord up to a few days to get back in touch with you via email about your request application. If the picture is blurry or difficult to read, it might be rejected.[1]
