While the Bicycle is available for the low, low price of ₽1,000,000, your wallet can only hold a meager ₽999,999, so you'll need an item called a Bike Voucher. This works the same way in Pokémon Blue, Yellow, FireRed and LeafGreen.[1]

Steps

  1. 1
    Go to Vermillion City.
  2. 2
Go to the Pokémon Fan Club. It's in the southwest part of the city, just north of the gym.

  3. 3
Talk to the chairman of the Fan Club. He's on the left side of the couch at the back of the building.
  4. 4
Say "Yes" when he asks you if you want to hear about his favorite Pokémon. He'll talk about his favorite Pokémon for a while, then he'll give you a Bike Voucher.
  5. 5
    Go to Cerulean City.
  6. 6
Go to the Bike Shop, the southwestern-most building.
  7. 7
Talk to the man behind the counter to exchange your Bike Voucher for a Bicycle.

Warnings

  • In Pokémon Red, Blue and Yellow, you can only hold 20 items in your Bag and 50 in your PC, so choose carefully whether you want the Bicycle to permanently occupy one of these slots.
