Lime twists are useful as a cocktail garnish or as a salad or cake decoration. They're very easy to make.
Ingredients
- Lime
Steps
-
1Wash the lime to clean it. Since the peel will come into contact with the food or drink, it needs to be cleaned. Wipe dry with a kitchen towel.[1]
-
2Place the lime on the wooden cutting board.Advertisement
-
3Cut a thin slice through the lime. Cut as many thin slices as you'll need to use for garnish or decoration.[2]
-
4Place the slice flat on the cutting board. Using the knife, make a small cut halfway through the lime slice.[3]
-
5Pick up the cut lime slice. Twist the two sides of the cut (slit) in opposite directions. Then fold around. The lime slice is now a lime twist and is ready to use as a garnish.
-
6Repeat with the remaining lime slices.
