Get 8 square sticky notes. Fold the two sticky corners on one towards the center.

Fold in half vertically so that it looks like a square made of two triangles.^{[2]

Pull the shared upper left corner of the triangles apart from itself until you get a rhombus shape and crease.^{[3]

There should be a tip that you can pull apart on each. Take another sticky note and put the tip that doesn't pull apart into the slot. Rest the edge against the point where the tips fold apart and line the tip up with the top edge of the other one.^{[5]
