So you wanna meet a millionaire. The good news is that there are lots of millionaires out there. In 2018, there were more than 10 million millionaire households in the United States alone. Whether you want to meet a rich person to date, or whether you want to meet a millionaire for career mentorship so that you can become a millionaire too, you can find millionaires online or IRL.

Method 1
Method 1 of 2:

Find a Millionaire to Date

  1. 1
Try a millionaire-specific dating app or website to meet rich singles. There are plenty of online dating websites that cater to people who are looking to date wealthy people, such as MillionaireMatch.com, Sugardaddie.com, DateAMillionaire.com, and many others. Some websites have income verification tools that ensure that the person you are matching with has the income they claim.[1]
    • When online dating, put time into crafting a profile that projects you in your best light while still being honest as to your goals, intentions, and personality.
  2. 2
Move to a rich city or neighborhood. The richest cities include Hong Kong, New York, Tokyo, LA, Paris, and London, but you don’t have to live in one of the absolute richest places in the world to meet millionaires. Move to a richer part of the country or close to a wealthy neighborhood if you're looking to pick up a rich guy or gal.[2]
    • If you can’t afford to move to a wealthy area, live close by, and just spend time hanging out in the nearby wealthier neighborhood.

  3. 3
Frequent upscale bars and hotels. Upscale bars are often full of rich men and women. Millionaires, and rich singles in general, tend to do a lot of traveling, so what better place to meet them than in the lounge of a fancy hotel. The good news is that many hotels let anyone buy a drink at the lounge, so you don’t actually have to be spending gazillions on a hotel room while you're looking for dates.
  4. 4
Attend gallery openings and become a regular museum-goer. Wealthy people often buy art items for their new homes or just as collectors items. Study up a bit on art history so you can have something to make small talk about at the gallery opening. You'll be talking to (and maybe even dating) attractive millionaires in no time.[4]
    • Find local gallery openings by searching online for gallery events in your city.
    • Gallery openings and events are a great way to meet millionaires to date for free. You typically don't have to pay to get in.
  5. 5
Go to charity benefit auctions and other philanthropic events. The most popular hobby amongst wealthy people is giving their money away. Going to a large philanthropic even like a benefit auction or ball can be a good way to meet millionaires.[5] [6]
    • Check the dress code before you attend so that you can blend in with everyone there.
  6. 6
Pick up a “rich-person” hobby, like skiing, sailing, or golf. Trying one of the hobbies stereotypically reserved for rich people can be a great way to meet millionaires. The problem with rich-people hobbies is, of course, that they can be pretty expensive.[7]
    • You will not only have a way of meeting millionaires (like bumping into people on a golf course), but you will also have a hobby to bond over.

Method 2 of 2:

Meeting Millionaires for Career Mentorship

  1. 1
Think about what you want from your millionaire mentor. Your mentor doesn’t have to be a millionaire exactly, but rather embody whatever it is about the word “millionaire” that excites you. For example, you might be most interested in being able to afford education, living in a nice house, or having a high-status career.
    • Understand what matters to you financially so that you can seek out people who have lifestyles that align with your goals.
  2. 2
Make a list of possible mentors from many sources. You don’t simply have to contact someone who is higher up in a company where you work. You should also think about family members, people from your religious group, school, or a business group.[8]
    • There are all kinds of different groups that offer career mentorship based on race, gender, and many other factors too, so do an online search for groups in your area.
  3. 3
Set up a meeting to ask for mentorship. When meeting a potential mentor, its important to get to them and see if you are a good fit. Then, make sure you clearly ask for mentorship, because it is respectful of the other person’s time, and gives them the opportunity to say no.[9]
    • Meet in a comfortable, neutral place, like a cafe.
  4. 4
Consider talking to a financial advisor about your goals. Career mentors aren’t the only people who can help you achieve your goals. Financial advisors can help you get a handle on your credit card debt, make smart financial decisions, invest your money so that it grows for you, and save more.[10]
    • A cheaper option than an in-person financial advisor is online financial advising services, but you have to make sure you are going through a trusted source and not spreading your information all over the internet.
    • With luck and perseverance, maybe someday you’ll be the millionaire other people are trying to meet.

You really can't always tell. There's a stereotype that all wealthy people are driving a nice car and dressed in expensive clothes, but that's not the case a lot of times. A lot of my wealthiest clients are very down-to-earth and humble, and if you saw them walking down the street, you wouldn't necessarily know that they were wealthy.

They usually want a woman who is not after just their money, as cliche as this sounds. These men want a woman who is able to support herself financially and that likes them, but money can't be the only reason for the relationship to exist. There must be a real connection.
