Try to unlock the phone at least 5 times. After the fifth attempt, you'll get a pop-up window that gives you the option to continue with "Forgot Pattern."

Tap Forgot Pattern and Next. Forgot pattern is at the bottom of the screen and Next will appear in the pop-up.

Tap Enter Google account details and Next. When you select "Enter Google account details," a check mark will appear next to it.
