2024 American Samoa presidential caucuses

Although American Samoa will not participate in the 2024 presidential election because it is a U.S. territory and not a state, it will still participate in the U.S. presidential primaries and caucuses.[1]

Republican caucus

The 2024 American Samoa Republican presidential caucus will be held on March 20, 2024, as part of the Republican Party primaries for the 2024 presidential election. 9 delegates to the 2024 Republican National Convention will be allocated on a delegate selection basis.[2]

Declared candidates

Former President Donald Trump, former South Carolina Governor and Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley, former Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson, Businessman Vivek Ramaswamy, South Carolina Senator Tim Scott, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, former Vice President Mike Pence, former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, and current North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum have all announced their candidacies for president.[3][4][5][6][7][8][9][10][11]

Potential candidates

Other Republicans reportedly considering a candidacy include former Secretary of Energy Rick Perry of Texas;[12] former National Security Advisor John Bolton of Maryland;[13] and former Representative Mike Rogers of Michigan.[14]

Democratic caucus

The 2024 American Samoa Democratic presidential caucus will be held on March 5, 2024, as part of the Democratic Party primaries for the 2024 presidential election. 11 delegates to the 2024 Democratic National Convention will be allocated to presidential candidates.[15] The contest will be held on Super Tuesday alongside primaries in 14 other states and territories.

Declared candidates

Incumbent President Joe Biden announced on April 25, 2023, his bid for a second term. He faces a primary challenge from author, progressive activist, and 2020 presidential candidate Marianne Williamson.[16][17]
