Gachi District

Gachi District (Persian: بخش گچی) is in Malekshahi County, Ilam province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Mehr. Prior to the formation of the district, its constituent villages were in the former Malekshahi District of Mehran County.[3]

The National Census in 2011 counted 6,298 people in 1,561 households,[4] by which time the district had been separated from the county in the establishment of Malekshahi County.[3] At the latest census in 2016, the district had 5,609 inhabitants in 1,527 households.[2]
