Gurab-e Sofla, Dehloran

Gurab-e Sofla (Persian: گوراب سفلي, also Romanized as Gūrāb-e Soflá; also known as Gūrab-e Pā’īn)[3] is a village in, and the capital of, Gurab Rural District of Sarab Meymeh District, Dehloran County, Ilam province, Iran.[4] The village is populated by Kurds.[5]

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 332 in 59 households, when it was in Seyyed Nasereddin Rural District of Zarrinabad District.[6] The following census in 2011 counted 338 people in 75 households.[7]

In May 2013, Meymeh and certain villages were transferred from the district towards the establishment of Sarab Meymeh District, which was divided into two rural districts. Meymeh was appointed as its capital.[4] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 307 people in 82 households. Gurab-e Sofla was the largest village in its rural district.[2]
