Nowghan-e Olya
Nowghan-e Olya (Persian: نوغان عليا, also Romanized as Nowghān-e ‘Olyā and Nowghān Olyā; also known as Narghān and Nowghān-e Bālā)[3] was a village in Karchambu-ye Shomali Rural District of Buin Miandasht District, Faridan County, Isfahan province, Iran.

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 91 in 28 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 72 people in 26 households.[2]
After the census, the village of Nowghan-e Sofla merged with Nowghan-e Olya and changed its name to Nowghan, becoming the capital of the new Karchambu District of the recently established Buin Miandasht County.[5]
