Gender and Technology Training Guidelines
Reassemble the cards in their two colours - men’s tasks and women’s tasks.
Change headings - putting all the men’s tasks under the title of women and all
the women’s tasks under the title of men. Discuss. Is this possible? Can
women do ‘men’s tasks’? What are the constraints? Can men do ‘women’s
tasks’? What are the constraints. How do the men and women in the group
feel about it?
Discuss what was learned from the session. Draw out importance of status of
tasks relative to the skills involved.
