The Electro Hypostasis is a boss that is present in Cape Oath by the domain Eagle's Gate. It is an extremely pure form of Electro energy, and its attacks often involve electricity. This wikiHow will show you how to defeat an Electro Hypostasis in Genshin Impact.

Part 1
Part 1 of 4:

Locating the Electro Hypostasis

  1. 1
Teleport to the domain entrance for Eagle's Gate. This boss is located in southern Mondstadt, east of the domain for Eagle's Gate. The Electro Hypostasis is characterized by this purple Rubik's cube-like structure with a bright purple core.
  2. 2
Prepare for the battle. The Electro Hypostasis is immune to all Electro attacks, meaning you will need to have party members with elements that react with Electro. Pyro, Cryo, and Geo all react with Electro resulting in overloaded, superconduct, and crystallize, while Anemo, Hydro, and Dendro are all ineffective in fighting the Electro Hypostasis. Hydro does result in electrocharged, but it is largely ineffective at dealing damage.
    • You will also want a character that can regenerate your other characters' health, such as Barbara. If you do not have a character that can regenerate HP, then you will need a lot of food, and you will need to pay attention very closely.

  3. 3
Enter the arena. The Electro Hypostasis is located in the center of the arena. Interacting with it will start the battle.
    • The boss has the potential to deal lots of damage if you are unprepared.
    • The arena has a huge square inscribed in the center.

Part 2 of 4:

Dodging Attacks

  1. 1
Watch out for the Electro missiles. The Electro Hypostasis will form a round, circular shape and fire Electro cubes at you. While they are not guided, these cubes can deal Electro damage if you are not careful.
  2. 2
Be careful of the Hypostasis's physical attacks. The Hypostasis has three different physical attacks, each has its own nickname:
    • Clap – This attack involves the hypostasis folding into a clapping motion around the player. When the boss forms a wall, get away from it.
    • Rock, Paper, Scissors – forms a rock and punches the player. Then forms scissors and attempts to cut the player. Then forms paper and slaps the player.
    • Drill – drills towards the player across the arena.

Tip: If you see the ground below your character turn purple, that means that area is about to be hit with an Electro attack.

  3. 3
Be mindful of the Electro waves. In this move, the Electro Hypostasis will move to the center and emit electro waves spinning in a clockwise direction. Simply stay between the waves and avoid hitting any cubes to prevent major damage.
  4. 4
Stay clear of the Electro cage. In this move, the Electro Hypostasis will attempt to cage the player in. Any attempt to leave results in Electro damage. Then, launches lighting strikes against the player. Stay out of the purple circles if you are trapped, and, before the cage forms, dash towards the first pillar and out.
  5. 5
Watch out for the Electro lasers. The Electro Hypostasis may move towards the center of the arena and emit lasers. To dodge this attack, move into the center of the arena with the Hypostasis. When the Electro rune disappears, run to avoid being crushed.
  6. 6
Heal your characters. If a character has downed, use food to revive them. If a character is running low on HP, give them food to replenish. Alternatively, use a character that can generate HP.

Part 3 of 4:

Dealing Damage

  1. 1
Watch for when the Electro Hypostasis core is exposed. The core is exposed in-between launching attacks. It will also be exposed during certain kinds of attacks. You will know when it’s exposed when the shield is gone. You can deal physical damage during this period.
  2. 2
Be wary of your stamina. If your stamina is too low, you may not be able to dodge a specific attack. You can refill your stamina with food or by resting, and you can decrease stamina consumption with other food items.
  3. 3
Use Pyro to overload the Electro Hypostasis. For that, you can use Xiangling, Diluc, Amber, or another Pyro character. This will deal additional Pyro damage to the Electro Hypostasis.
  4. 4
Use Cryo to superconduct the Electro Hypostasis. For that, you can use Kaeya, Chongyun, Diona, Qiqi, or another Cryo character. This will deal additional Cryo damage to the Electro Hypostasis.
  5. 5
Use Geo to crystallize the Electro Hypostasis. For that, you can use Noelle, Ningguang, Zhongli, or another Geo character. This will remove the Electro buff and allow you to get a Geo shield against Electro.
  6. 6
Repeat to the end. After reaching less than 5% HP, the Electro Hypostasis core will break into three. These only respond to elemental damage. Use Pyro or Cryo to finish the Hypostasis off.
    • If you fail to destroy all three Electro particles, then the Hypostasis will regenerate 15% of its maximum HP for each particle remaining. Electro particles that are destroyed once do not need to be destroyed again, so if you manage to destroy one Electro particle, you will only need to destroy the two Electro particles absorbed by the Hypostasis.

Part 4 of 4:

Collecting Rewards

  1. 1
Locate the Ley Line Blossom. This looks a bit like a wilted flower and is probably in the center of the arena.
  2. 2
Use the Resin to revitalize the blossom. If you do not have enough Original Resin, you can use Fragile Resin instead.
  3. 3
Collect rewards. Depending on your level, you may get different rewards, but you will always get Lightning Prism and 100 EXP, a critical Character Ascension Material for Electro characters.
