A mystery gift in Pokémon Platinum can get you a member card, which you can use to sail to Fullmoon Island, where you can find Cresselia, and to Newmoon Island, where you can find Darkrai. If you want to get the mystery gift, see Step 1 to get started.

Steps

Go to Jubilife City.

Go to the TV station.

Go to the third floor and talk to a man. He will ask you for an interview; Say yes.

Type Everyone Happy.

For the feedback type Wi-Fi Connection.

Save.

Turn it back on and you will have a mystery game two blocks under the load game button.

You now have a mystery gift.

You have to use a cheat device such as an action replay. That is the only way I know of to get old events.

No. Wi-fi connection services for many DS games, including Pokemon Platinum, were permanently discontinued in May of 2014. As the Mystery Gift requires usage of the Internet, the gift is no longer available.
