When selling on eBay, there may be times when you need to remove a listing. Fixed price listings can be canceled at any time. Auctions can be canceled if there was an error in the listing or if the item is lost or broken. Ebay strongly discourages users from canceling a listing early and may place restrictions on your account if you do it frequently. You may even be charged a fee for canceling early. Auctions with bids that have less than 12 hours remaining cannot be canceled. This wikiHow teaches you how to cancel an eBay listing.

Warnings

  • If there are at least 12 hours remaining for an auction-style listing, eBay will charge you a fee for removing the listing. The fee amount will be equal to the final value fee, which is the fee you would have ended up paying if the listing had ended and the item had sold in a normal fashion.
