How to Remove the Sidebar in Facebook Chat

This wikiHow teaches you how to hide the list of contacts that appears on the right side of your Facebook news feed. All you'll need to do is click the three dots at the upper-right corner of the sidebar and toggle the "Show contacts" switch to the Off position.

Steps

    Sign in to https://www.facebook.com. Once you are signed in, you will see your Facebook news feed.

    Click the three dots at the top-right corner of the Contacts sidebar ••• . A menu will expand.

    Slide the "Show contacts" switch to Off
    Windows Switch Off
    .     This collapses the sidebar so it's no longer visible. A tab labeled "Contacts" will remain.
    • If you want to re-enable the sidebar, click the three dots next to "Contacts" and toggle the "Show contacts" switch back on.
