Playing Need for Speed Carbon and want to drift? There are many ways to accomplish that, but this article will show you one method. This is particularly useful for the Xbox and Xbox 360.

Steps

  1. 1
Go to a speed of at least 75 mph (121 km/h).
  2. 2
At a 90-degree turn, use your handbrake and go full throttle.

Method 1
Method 1 of 1:

Downhill (Canyon) Drifts

  1. 1
For Canyon Drifts, the car's handling will be largely different as the car slides more going downhill. As a general strategy, release the gas when the car is sliding towards the outside, and pull the e-brake when it slides towards the inside.
  2. 2
Know how the gas pedal will affect your movement. Flooring the gas will cause the car to slide and the car spins at a normal rate. Releasing the gas will cause the car to go to the inside more, and spins at a higher rate.
  3. 3
End your combos. Do not be afraid to hit the walls when ending your combos. You will still get half of the points and the multiplier, so it is always better to hit the sides trying to go fast than drifting like a turtle for the entire course.
