Meydan, Ilam

Meydan (Persian: ميدان, also Romanized as Meydān; also known as Meydān-e Mīsh Khāş)[3] is a village in, and the capital of, Mishkhas Rural District of Sivan District, Ilam County, Ilam province, Iran.[4] The village is populated by Kurds.[5]

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 869 in 172 households, when it was in the Central District.[6] The following census in 2011 counted 848 people in 202 households.[7] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 1,046 people in 312 households,[2] by which time the rural district had been separated from the district in the establishment of the new Sivan District.[4]
