Sivan District (Persian: بخش سیوان) is in Ilam County, Ilam province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Jafarabad.[3]

At the 2006 National Census, the region's population (as Mishkhas Rural District of the Central District) was 9,164 in 1,823 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 9,412 people in 2,268 households.[5] At the latest census in 2016, the district had 8,994 inhabitants in 2,465 households, by which time the rural district had been separated from the district in the establishment of the new Sivan District.[2] In 2023, Alishervan Rural District was transferred to the Central District of Badreh County.[6]
