From Old Khmer jaṃrau, jaṃrova (“deep; depth, deepness; deep place, as gully, ravine, gorge, etc”); being extended forms of Old Khmer jrau, jrov (“deep; depth, deepness”). Cognate with Modern Khmer ជំរៅ (cumrɨw).

     In paragraph 1, to perform sexual intercourse means to satisfy the desire of the performer by using the genital organ of the performer to do [something] against the genital organ, anus, or oral cavity of another person, or using any other thing to do [something] against the genital organ or anus of another person.

     Section 277 Anyone who performs sexual intercourse with a child that is not yet over fifteen years of age and is not his own wife or her own husband, regardless of whether or not the child consents thereto, shall be liable to imprisonment from four years to twenty years and a fine from eighty thousand baht to four hundred thousand baht.

     Section 242 [When] anyone has carnal knowledge against the order of nature, either with a man or a woman, or performs carnal intercourse with a nonhuman animal, LORD says he is of guilt, shall be liable to imprisonment from three months up to three years, and shall also be [imposed with] a fine from fifty baht up to five hundred baht as an additional kind [of penalty].
